Looks like The Range have updated their prices online? Only had a quick scan but there's some nasty increases!

The Slammer £8.99 > £12.49
Party selection box £29.99 > £44.99 (read somewhere this has lost a lot of NEC too)
Armageddon £44.99 > £62.49
Imperial Selection Box £79.99 > £124.99

Is anyone being put off with buying pyro this year with the current situation?

I've probably already got most of my pyro for this year. Some i never got to fire last year, some I bought back in May and I've just placed another order with a specialist. My most recent order is the only one where there may have been a little price increase, although as s lot of the items are new Lesli pieces that I believe may not be made in China I have possibly avoided the worst of the price increases. All in all I think I'm pretty happy with what I'm getting for what I've paid. Very unlikely I'll visit the range though from what I've seen posted a few weeks ago with regards to prices and as you mention, reduced NEC.

Was going to give the party box a go this year but the price increase has put me off. If those figures online are correct I can't justify the 50% increase.

I think the nec has dropped too 500 or so as well. I think Duskyfuse did the the video of their new brochure recently giving an the details.

Oh dear that is disappointing. I cannot justify those sorts of prices either. I was a big fan of the Party Box too.

Where else can you get that level of entertainment for £40?

I wonder why such a large increase and whether we will see similar price rises from all retailers? If it's just The Range then they will lose a lot of sales to competitors, if they all do it then the consumer gets screwed again.

Anyone buy online to save cost?

Just been looking at the Party Box, it's rrrp has gone up to £89.99, that a rise of £30, so assuming they are still half price it'll be £45 for 27 items with the new nec count of 526g. Last year we paid £30 for 27 items and got 702g of nec!

Daylight Robbery! What's everyone else doing for selection boxes this year?
I'm not sure I'll be getting a selection box this year, I have an assortment of pieces left over from a couple of years ago that have been stored well so I will use them. I've also got some untouched supermarket boxes that I can dip into if I want. I agree with your daylight robbery statement though, assuming it is sold half rrp, the price increase and the nec loss is a real kick in the teeth. Unfortunately I think it's going to be a very similar story across the board.

Most prices are going to rise this year, most likely by an average of 25%. Some items might only have a small rise or even stay the same price but some could be more like 50%.

prices are definitely putting me off so I will just order my bits from sale weekend and that will be mostly it but 12.49 for slammer is still cheaper than my local have put its price to this year.Screenshot_20210915-120016_Chrome.jpgScreenshot_20210915-115906_Chrome.jpg

In this video, we take an early look at the 2021 firework offerings from 'The Range'. With huge firework shortages, as a result of the Global Shipping Crisis, Bright Star labelled stock looks to have largely dried up, and instead we see new cakes and barrages from the German brand Lesli Fireworks. Speaking to a member of staff, they are expecting many more fireworks over the next few weeks and I will share an update video once this has happened.

Other Lesli fireworks imported via Bright Star this season can be seen via the following link- http://www.brightstaruk.com/Fireworks/Lesli-Fireworks.html

Finally, for comparison, here is a video filmed at the same Range store this time last year-
