think they had 3 models ,the smaller 1 seemed to last a good 15 mins ,the bigger 1 a bit less before they recharged . also seemed to me that the lights could be configured to make them look different ,though it was dark so could have been an illusion .

15-20 mins is the average time that an rc will last, i think my car lasts 25, but i upgraded the battery

Thought i'd share these pictures of my Maverick Strada SC Evo RC car :) This cost me £190 and has a top speed of over 40mph. I did have some footage from the onboard camera (very cheap thing i brought recently) but the footage quality was awful so I deleted it. Hopefully someone will be able to film some for me in the near future :)

Being up to Elverington a couple of weeks ago and saw a model air show. Some of the planes where huge (and quite loud) It was an ashame to see that one of them crashed while we was there just luckily didn't hit anyone or cars as it was close and it would've hurt!

My wife's looking for ideas on what to buy me for Christmas this year and i was thinking of a RC Quadcopter. I've never had one before so I've no idea what's good or crap tbh but I've seen one i like...it's £132.99 and i was just wondering if any of you guys had any experience with them and if you think this is a good buy or not?

Any advice will be useful ...Cheers :)

The Dromida Proto X FPV Micro HD Quadcopter is a micro-sized quad with fantastic first-person view capabilities!

The Proto-X FPV comes equipped with a 1280 x 720P camera that shoots HD videos with a range of 73 meters (240 feet) that you will be able to watch in real time on the transmitter's 114 mm (4.5") screen.

The included memory card and card reader let you download videos and images onto your computer in amazingly clear detail all thanks to the 3-axis gyro and 3 accelerometers that create an extremely stable flying platform.

Includes:

  • Quadcopter with 720p HD camera
  • 6-channel, 2.4GHz controller with video screen
  • Memory card and card reader
  • USB charger
  • 650mAh LiPo battery
  • Sun shield for the screen
  • Spare rotor blades (4)
  • Blade Removal Tool

I'd say from the spec it's a nice copter for the price :) LiPo batteries are the more powerful type which shows the motor should be good as well. Only issue I can see is that it's very small so on breezy days it would likely be all over the place. But for indoor or calm day use it should fit what you're after
