Hey everyone just thought it would be worth asking how everyone lights their fireworks?

I started off with about 1000 matches haha, then moved on to one of those kitchen lighters, which were better, but not ideal.

Last year I ordered a chefs torch which was a lot better, the wind didnt blow it out and it lit the fireworks quickly :)

Finally this year, ive bought new gas for my chefs torch, but also ordered some portfires to try out.

I usually use a jet flame lighter which seems to do the trick. I've got a pack of portfires this year but I'll probably only use them as backup.

portfires are good, particularly with the larger stuff, they light the fuses quicker than tapers or matches

good idea, really all you need to do is flick the portfire at the fuse and it ignites, we discovered them last year, what a discovery they were (for once, thanks to tesco)

Tesco, miraculously, had something great value that is actually good, they need to be more careful, they could become good :p
