Thursday, 16.10. - Lidl UK

Still waiting on lidl to sign off on the fireworks here is the email I have just received. Best guess we could see something off them nearing the end of September.

Hi Gareth,

Thank you for getting in touch with your enquiry. Unfortunately our fireworks have yet to be signed off and as such I'm unable to provide you with any details on this year's range.

Best regards,
Nicole

lidl sell weco, but there is always a chance lidl may change, But on that note, i very much doubt it has weco are a big sell for a top up among pyro fans and a like. the 2014 leaflet should be out some time soon, within the next few weeks to the month.

Us too kim, Lidl are the best supermarkets out of all of them for the pyro. Hopefully we will see something in the next few days to the next few weeks.

Yes, if they do they need to add more range in the brand.

Have you seen the Weco range on their website? (German one)

It is quite extensive!

I do tend to get a bit excited about what's going to be new each year, not sure about you, but I was a little disappointed with last years additions.

The fountain did look nice, but the boxxer, although was only £5 it was mostly a roman candle for most of its duration.

yes weco range is very extensive, so they are spoilt for choice. but i just keep getting this feeling they will keep to there original sales. it is surprising tbh that lidl doesn't do a little bit more research on pyro to better there choice.

I feel they they may try pushing Aquila this year as this was there best sell previous times. But that would depend on testing and if they don't miss fire again. knowing anyone's luck.

The fountains was decent enough specially for the price. and many people did choose boxxer and i do agree they could have lowered it for what it was lol.

I hope lidl don't ditch weco as their supplier, but it would be good if they alter the pieces that they sell, they've had the same (albeit great) stuff for a few years now bar the odd extra thing. I want some different rockets, skyline and cocktail of rockets were pretty rubbish, and yes swap boxxer for the Aquila.

lets just hope then they have tried to bring it back. The rockets was ok. I have gone off all supermarket rockets.

The only good supermarket rockets we've ever had were from onestop about 4 years ago, before they started selling standard. I think they were cosmic or something, and they were four to a pack bogof for £10. Those were the days:D

I don't know what the rockets are, but we only started buying from lidl in 2012. Always associated lidl with shoddy quality, but the fireworks were a big surprise. What needs to happen is lidl should start selling bulldog fireworks and waitrose should start selling weco, then everything would be how it should be (Waitrose = high quality, Lidl = Rubbish:))

If they sell weco again (it is more then likely considering it sells well). And the rest of the supermarkets sell the usual brand. I would think lidl are better to buy from on the supermarket front.
