Indoor sparklers are a good bit of fun for birthdays christmas weddings etc;however, do check though that if you plan to use them in any external venue, i.e for a birthday/wedding celebration or party etc, they allow the use of them (if at all).

Some places fire back with a strong 'no' purely citing h&s as a reason giving no explanation why (a typical dogooding jobsworth official will often do this and give no reason as to why they are not allowed), while other venues usually have no problem with indoor sparklers or ice-fountains/indoor colour changing volcanoes being used and therefore will allow their use unrestricted. ;) I would have thought that if a bar/venue uses catering sparklers (as they often do) in cocktails and/or ice fountains on birthday cakes, that they have no problems with this, again it's advisable to check when you book your venue that they will allow the use of indoor sparklers, ice-fountains and similar indoor pyro by popping the question when you enquire. ;)

good point ant, yes always check before using these in pubs/restaurants.
We used some at a pub recently for a family celebration, they were fine with it but we did end up setting the smoke alarms off! Everyone took it in good humour so it was fine, but we were glad we checked beforehand
