**This event has now concluded**

It's just started, with New Zealand beating Sri Lanka by 98 runs, and England are a pretty shite 94/6 chasing Australia's 342/9. Favourites are New Zealand, South Africa and Australia, the final is almost certainly going to be a combo of these 3.

Current score:
James Taylor 12 n.o
Chris Woakes 1 n.o

England 94/6 after 22.2 overs

There's some doubt over whether the Aus Vs Bangladesh match will go ahead due to cyclones hitting Brisbane, but hopefully they'll get some play in

Watched the highlights of the England ,New Zealand game and thought how much Glamorgan miss someone like Brendon mcCullum.
Also how grateful I am to tms on 5 live sports extra for the excellent coverage and commentators rather than paying loads for sky and listen to botham and Atherton.
Somerset veteran Vic marks is a pleasure to listen to, and teamed with Jon Agnew ,they are pure gold.

Lets call it low-lights, england were Fudge Berries! all the way through.
Tbh, all the counties miss players like McCullum or AB De Villiers but because our season, and particularly our T20 season is so long, no one is interested.
Have to say though now Glamorgan have lost Jim Allenby to us, they'd need a McCullum more than most :p

We've never had sky to watch cricket on, i either listen to TMS (but boycott has really pissed me off recently so i've gone off it a bit), or ESPNCricinfo is great as well, they provide commentry to most matches

So ladies and gents, earlier, West Indies batsman Chris Gayle wrote himself into the history books once again by becoming the first non-indian batsman to score a double-century in an ODI, and only the forth man ever to do so. He smashed 215 from just 147 balls, including a joint-record 16 sixes.

So predictably, West Indies Beat Zimbabwe by 74 runs under Duckworth-lewis.

Next Match:
Ireland Vs United Arab Emirates at Brisbane
