Do you do a big christmas shop in one of the supermarkets or do you like to shop around?

Or do you like to order online and have it all delivered just before the big day?

We tried the online ordering last year, but having ordered a turkey joint, they delivered us a large chicken instead! We got it for free in the end but I dont think we will be trying that one again lol. Luckily this delivery was a few days before christmas so we had the change to visit the supermarket and pick up another one.

Also, we usually shop around but then do a biggish shop around the day before Christmas eve. Usually go nice and early too to avoid the queues.

We went to Asda last year, i'm sure we went Sunday night, as it opened up specially into early Monday morning, We didn't get back until about 3am though, was chaos, poor staff having to let people grab stuff off the cages before they even had chance to take the pallet wrap off lol.

We did get absolutely everything we needed though, all freshly stacked too, which is worth the mayhem, queues and slalom around abandoned trolleys :p

Will probably go the same time again, early morning on the 23rd. :)

We get our meat from M&S and butchers too, usually pick up 23rd/24th.

We decided to try this at tesco a few years ago, when they were opening specially early and found the quality to be rubbish. Although we dont usually shop at tesco that was a one off so this could always be the case.

We will probably do as you suggest, go late night/early morning and it will probably be the Asda this time too :)
