All fireworks will be on sale from the 15 october. Tesco did say in their phone call, That all superstores and extra stores will sell fireworks, But they do sell fast. We all have a choice in ringing your local tesco superstores and extra stores or paying a visit to find out about fireworks availability when they go on sale.

If you mention the information will be posted on Seasonal Traditions, Your local Tesco May Be more helpful in passing relevant information out.

I have just recieved this email from tesco;

Dear Sam
Thank you for taking the time to email us.

I have been in contact with our Business Support Team who unfortunately advised we don't know the Brands of Fireworks that will be sold in our stores this year yet.

We will have an answer in the next few weeks, if you wish to contact us in the near future.

Thanks again for contacting us and if there is anything else I can do for you, please reply to this email. Alternatively, you could call us on 0800 505555/0330 123 4055, quoting reference number: 17504224, where my colleagues will also be more than happy to assist.

Kind regards

Not letting anything out yet, but likelihood is it will be standard again :)
Hopefully they will sell a different line this year, they have sold exactly the same range the past 2 years

Yeah have to agree, God knows why they are sticking with standard, i would assume there sales are not that great during firework season.

not with nearly all the other seasonals stocking better (I prefer tnt to standard)
A lot of tesco firework consumers need to read that above quote.! very nicely put. sadly this is the problem. People really do not know what they are buying, they see firework, think its cheap end up being very disappointed when they finally see them in action.

particularly when they see standard on the box, it is a very old name in the pyro buisness and people think that it's a good brand, but they have slowly declined to be one of the worst brands you can buy these days.

The supermarkets are hopeless, they just won't tell you anything.
Cheers for the info though fazer :)

Tried my luck today to see what they are selling but got this "Hi Andrew. Nothing yet but it will be advertised in store during the period we can sell them :) Thanks"
So long story short, they are useless

They must surely know by now though if they told us the truth. They would need to design they POS, have it signed of by management, have it produced for their stores and on top that ordering the stock to be exported to UK. Unless they not bringing it all out on oct 15th when they start stocking

I think its just down to the customer service teams not knowing anything about fireworks really. They probs think they are own brand so cant give away the supplier lol

Also, just noticed tesco are still selling standard fireworks on their website:

Buy Fireworks from our Party range - Tesco.com

So I would think it will be more or less confirmed standard/ black cat again this year sadly.

I know but I think if they would be using a different brand instore they would have removed these/ replaced them with the new brand. Shame they continue to go with standard year after year. They are obviously the seller who sells at the lowest price with the biggest margains :(
